Media Animation - Inspiration and Limitation

For my animation the majority of the inspiration I had came from my childhood, both Pokemon and Harry Potter played a large part in it.
They are two of my favourite fan based subjects, Also in the week before I created my advert the film that the clip in which i would use to create the dreamy effect in my animation was being shown on TV. This is where i came up with the idea for the dreaming effect.
Therefore i decided to combine the two genres together to create something that no one has ever create before, showing that my imagination is unique and unrivalled.

This was a scene similar to which i will be using in my animation. This is because whilst he is in the room the room itself is dark and with the light in the background it give an erie glow to it making it mysterious.

These two Pokemon on the right are going to be the main Pokemon used in my animation. This is because as in the games and anime for the franchise they are the most well known Pokemon and will make the animation look better to the audience as virtually everyone even if they don't like or watch Pokemon know who Pikachu is.
Therefore it is vitally important I include him in my animation.

There is likely to be many different limitations to my animation, my main limitation will be during the flying scene. In this scene there will be an ariel battle between Harry Potter and Draco Malfoy. This will be very complex to shoot as the illusion to create the flying effect will be difficult for myself to re-create.
To combat this I will try and use wiring and other apparatus similar to this to make the figures hover. However originally I was going to use plasticine for the characters so it would have been easier to shoot the individual features of the characters move. However as i am now using plastic figures instead due to the plasticine not stay in place I will have to work it around the figures I have available to me.

Therefore I will likely be unable to shoot the flying scene but instead will improvise by using my contingency plan of have the battle on the ground outside of the quidditch pitch rather than during the quidditch match.

Another limitation I will face is due to the fact i will be using figures instead of plasticine models it will be impossible for me to make it look as though the characters mouths are movings. I could combat this by either not including the voice over and instead include a backing track, or i could show over the shoulder shots when each of the characters are speaking instead of showing their faces.
